The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is anticipated to announce the Class 10 and Class 12 board exam results for 2025 between May 13 and May 17. While the official date has not been confirmed, this timeline aligns with previous years, where results were declared on May 13 in 2024 and May 12 in 2023.
This year, over 42 lakh students appeared for the CBSE board exams, with approximately 24.12 lakh students in Class 10 and 17.88 lakh in Class 12. The exams were conducted from February 15 to April 4.
How to Check CBSE Results 2025
To check the results, students should have the following details ready:
- Roll number
- School number
- Date of birth
- Admit card ID
Additionally, CBSE has provided a 6-digit security PIN to access digital marksheets on DigiLocker. This unique code will be given to students by their schools.
Compartment Exams and Passing Criteria
Students who do not pass in one or two subjects will have the opportunity to appear for compartment exams, expected to be conducted in July or August 2025. To pass, Class 10 students must achieve a minimum of 33% overall, combining both theory and internal assessments. For Class 12 students, a minimum of 33% is required separately in both theory and practical exams.
